Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/683
The European Official Journal published yesterday the new Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/683 of 15 April 2020 implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/858 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regards to the administrative requirements for the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles. As it was expected, the new regulation introduces:
- Templates for the information document;
- Templates for EU type-approval certificates, including EU type-approval certificates for vehicles produced in small series, and EU individual vehicle approval certificates;
- Templates for national type-approval certificates for vehicles produced in small series and national individual vehicle approval certificates;
- Numbering system for approval certificates;
- Model for the EU type-approval mark for components and separate technical units;
- Template for the test results sheet;
- Format of test reports;
- Templates and other requirements for certificates of conformity.
This Regulation will enter into force on 15 June 2020 and will apply as from 5 July 2020.
