EU – Proposal for a New European Commission Regulation that consider the latest technical and regulatory developments at the WP.29 of UNECE.
The European Commission is working on a proposal for a New Commission Regulation (EU).../... amending Annexes I and II to R(EU) 2019/2144 of the European Parliament and of the Council. This proposal aims to take into account the latest technical and regulatory developments at the WP.29 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). In this regard, the list of the UN Regulations referred to in Article 4(2) of R(EU) 2019/2144 of the European Parliament and of the Council and contained in Annex I to that Regulation should be updated by including references to new UN Regulations and respectively to new series of amendments of existing UN Regulations. Annexes I and II to R(EU) 2019/2144 are therefore amended in accordance with the Annexes to this proposal.
The proposal also aims to update the list of UN regulations which apply on a compulsory basis set out in Annex I to R(EU) 2019/2144 in order to reflect the changes introduced by UN Regulation No 0.
