IRIS - Institutional Partner of SEDIC

We are pleased to inform you that IRIS (IDIADA’s Regulatory Information System) is from now on an institutional partner of Asociación Española de Documentación e Información (SEDIC).

SEDIC is an association founded in 1975 which brings together documentation and information professionals who are provided with a framework for cooperation, the exchange of experiences and ongoing professional training.
This association promotes the importance of information and documentation for economic and scientific development, encouraging the use of new technology and information sources.
It also assumes an active role in representing the interests of our professional community before Spanish public administrations, the European Union and different international organizations.

IRIS collaborates with SEDIC and participates in its training activities. Its recommendations and professional publications have been considered when designing and developing IRIS Database and Newsletters, especially regarding the application of new information and communication technology applied to documentary processes.

SEDIC participates in national associations such as the Spanish Federation of Societies of Archivist, Librarians, Documentalist and Museology (FESABID), the Asociación Multisectorial de la Información (ASEDIE) and the Spanish Confederation of Managers and Executives (CEDE); and international associations such as the European Council of Information Associations (ECIA) and the and International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
